Tradehome Shoes — Coralville

Because the internet exists, my daughter has never had her feet measured properly or even at all...just a general guess because reasons. She works on her feet and it was time for her to get some real shoes. The first place we tried (something called Encore) had employees, I think. We couldn't tell. They also didn't seem to know what a foot measuring thing was, so we left. They didn't seem to care that we did, either. That's why we went to Tradehome and the guy (Jesse) who helped my daughter was very good. Nice and empathetic and not in a sales-guy way. He actually took the time to try and understand the use of shoes for her. Style was a major consideration at first, but less so when she began to understand being on your feet all day was less about looks and more about function. I don't know what it cost in the end and I don't care. She got 2 pair and some inserts because the guy noticed her higher arched feet. It's good to go to a real shoe store.

I stopped in today looking for a pair of Birkenstocks for summer. I was assisted by a very helpful associate named Gwendolyn! Gwendolyn was very encouraging, definitely rooting for me to live my best life. We shared some laughs, I bought some Birkenstocks, fun was had by all!!

Jeff, at the Coralridge Mall, helped my daughter find a pair of Brooks shoes. He is the best. He was patient, kind, and knowledgeable. It was the best experience we have ever had buying shoes, anywhere. 100x better than going to Scheels. Thank you, Jeff!
